Discipleship Training School (DTS)
Discipleship Training Schools aim to prepare messengers of the gospel, helping students to know God in depth. The goal is to form Christian character and establish Biblical relationships while developing a daily walk with God. This intensive Christian training course begins with a 12 week classroom phase followed by a 12 week outreach
The DTS is designed to encourage students to develop personal character, to cultivate a living relationship God, and to Identify their unique individual gifts and callings in God. Cross-cultural exposure and global awareness are special emphases throughout the course, preparing the students to reach current and future generations and answer the call to "Go into into all the world and make disciples of all nations" Matthew 28:19
Successful completion of a DTS is a pre-requisite for further involvement in YWAM either as a student of a secondary school or as base staff.
DTS topics may include:
• Hearing the Voice of God
• Character & Nature of God
• The Father heart of God
• Biblical principals of relationship
• Lordship
• Inductive bible study & the Holy Spirit
• Justice & Mercy
• Spiritual Warfare
• World View
• Prayer and Intercession
• Evangelism and Missions
