ABOUT
Formerly the Community Counselling School (CCS)
Foundations for Counselling Ministry (FCM) is a six month school that can help equip you to see transformation in the lives of individuals and in communities. It’s more than just counselling skills, it is about getting biblical insight into issues, seeking God’s heart for the lost, and finding out how we can see Isaiah 61 fulfilled!
Formerly known as the Community Counselling School, the FCM here in Perth still carries a community focus. This means we look at issues not just affecting the individual but also the community in which they live. We aspire to see neighborhoods, families, cities and nations transformed through the restoration of one individual at a time! We are agents of God’s truth and love, going to the people and meeting them in the place where the need exists.
Weekly topics are covered by international and local speakers who have had experience working in their specific area of expertise. Workshops take place each week to equip you with basic counselling skills and models as well as give opportunity to put them into practice.
Outreach is a key part of the CCS, as the emphasis is on taking what we've learnt and applying it in a cross-cultural situation. It is a time to practice our counseling skills and to minister to real-life people in their real situations.
